RATIO in ICT programme of HAN University of Applied Sciences

20-02-2019 The RATIO approach is now an official part of the ICT programme of HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem and Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

We CoThinkers regularly provide guest lectures and readings at universities and colleges. We think that is very cool to do. And it is also very nice to be able to help students progress with even better problem solving and root cause analysis skills. We regularly hear from professionals with years of experience who follow our training courses; "Yes, this (RATIO) I would have wanted to be able to do much earlier!" That is why it was a great wish for us to integrate our training in university and higher professional education.

On 19-2-2019 we had our scoop and it became reality. I (Martijn) taught a day at the university of applied sciences, in Arnhem and Nijmegen. A group of 3rd year higher profesional ICT education students learned the basic skills and concepts around problem solving and root cause analysis. It was an intensive day in which they worked a lot themselves. The theme of the day was my favorite quote of Albert Einstein:

In 2 sessions of 3 hours they learned the basic skills and concepts of problem solving and root cause analysis. "A skill that is useful to learn at the beginning of the study." was one of the many positive responses of the students. During the evaluation with one of Han's teachers, we quickly concluded that we will continue this initiative together in the next school year that starts in October. "This was the best lesson I had in 3 years of HBO", 1 student told at the conclusion of the lesson. We are proud of that!

The world's 1st batch officially trained Major Incident Managers is a fact!

31-10-2018 5 talented Major Incident Managers (MIM) followed the Next Level Major Incident & Problem Solving course with great enthusiasm. In the coming weeks, they will facilitate an official checkout session as a kind of exam. This will be followed by an official closing with presentations from all participants. That is also the moment that I am allowed to hand over the certificates and facilitation sets.
